This workshop aims to inspire kids interested in STEM careers. Panelists Adriana Marble, Keenan Morrison, Yike Bing, Ryan German, Dylan Crawford, Kristina Matvey, Taryn Sumabat, Cory Yeager will answer career-related questions and offer detailed insights into the field. Set for Success: Scratchathon Rules & Rubric

Competition format:

  • Please submit one piece of original work based on this theme. The submission can be a piece of art, dance, music, writing, poetry, short story, app, scratch project, computer science project, science project, research paper, etc.
  • Any creative medium is accepted. With your submission you must write a brief paragraph about how your creation represents what STEM means to you.

Eligibility:

  • Students in grades K-12 are encouraged to participate. However, note that students from specific age groups will be judged together. The three categories that will be judged are Grades K to 5, Grades 6 to 8, Grades 9 to 12.

Prizes:

Winners will receive an award issued by the national organizations Young Women in Bio and Thriving Elements. As well as a cash prize for the top 3 submissions. Further details will be released closer to the competition.
